Chateau Purcari
Château Purcari is one of the most renowned wineries in the Republic of Moldova, with a history dating back to 1827, when it was founded by imperial decree as the first specialized winery in Bessarabia. Located near the village of Purcari in the Ștefan Vodă region, the estate combines noble winemaking traditions with the elegance of French-style château architecture.
Today, Château Purcari offers visitors a refined tourism complex, featuring a hotel, restaurant, guided tours through the historic cellars, and tastings of Moldova’s most awarded wines, such as Negru de Purcari and Alb de Purcari.
Its unique terroir, influenced by the nearby Dniester River, allows for the cultivation of noble grape varieties, while the winery’s commitment to sustainability and quality has cemented its reputation as a leader in Eastern European winemaking.
