Zăbriceni Monastery
The “Nativity of the Lord” Monastery in the village of Zăbriceni, Edineț district, is an Orthodox monastic settlement for monks, founded in 1999 with the blessing of Bishop Dorimedont.
The monastery is built in the Greek style and includes a main cathedral and two chapels. The interior is in Byzantine style, and the services follow the typikon of Mount Athos, with psaltic-Byzantine and choral-linear chants.
Zăbriceni Monastery is an example of integrating organic agriculture into monastic life. On a 30-hectare area, the monks cultivate vegetables, fruits, medicinal and aromatic plants, and also practice beekeeping.
Zăbriceni Monastery is open to visitors and pilgrims. For accommodation, prior booking is required, preferably for Saturdays, Sundays, or major religious holidays.
