Rudi Monastery

Located in a picturesque corner of Soroca District, Rudi Monastery (also known as Rudi-Arionești) is one of the most secluded and peaceful women’s monasteries in Moldova.

The “Holy Trinity” Church of Rudi Monastery, built between 1770 and 1777, is unique in Bessarabia for its medieval Moldavian architectural style. This church is a true rarity, being one of the few structures that still preserve the architectural features from the time of Stephen the Great.

The monastery is situated on the right bank of the Dniester River, surrounded by ancient forests and steep cliffs, offering a breathtaking natural landscape. Its isolated location enhances the peaceful and contemplative atmosphere of the monastery.
